Day 02: Delhi
Leave for a post breakfast full day sightseeing tour covering Raj Ghat, Shanti Vana, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Birla Mandir, Lotus Temple and Akshardham Temple. Drive past the President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place on your drive back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
Pink City Jaipur is the next destination to be covered in your Golden Triangle tour package. Check out from hotel early morning after breakfast and transfer to Jaipur by road (6 hrs approx). Stop midway at Neemrana Fort for a short visit. On arrival at Jaipur, check-in to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Jaipur
Leave for a post breakfast excursion to Amber Fort. Enjoy the exciting elephant ride up to the fort's entrance. Tour the fort and then return to the city for sightseeing of Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli, Jal Mahal and Ram Niwas Bagh. Stroll through Johari Bazaar and enjoy shopping. Retire to the hotel for the night.
Day 05: Jaipur - Agra
Golden Triangle with Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour today proceeds to the city of the Taj - Agra. Check out from hotel early morning after breakfast and transfer to Agra by road. Stop midway to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned erstwhile Mughal capital. On arrival at Agra, check-in to hotel and freshen up. Later at noon, leave for a visit to the spectacular Taj Mahal. Also tour the Red Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb. Return to the hotel to stay for the night.
Day 06: Agra - Varanasi
Check out from hotel early morning after breakfast and proceed to the airport to board onward flight to Varanasi, the first stopover in Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour. Our representative meets you on arrival & escorts you to the hotel. Freshen up and later at noon, leave for a tour of Sarnath, the venue where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Visit the famous Dhamekh Stupa here. Evening return to hotel for night stay.
Day 07: Varanasi
Leave for a post breakfast tour of Varanasi. Early morning, we take you on a pleasant boat ride along River Ganges. Then proceed for sightseeing of Vishwanath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and other major tourist attractions of the city. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 8 & 9: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
You have two more days to enjoy your stay in the holy city of Varanasi, the famous pilgrimage site of India. You can go on excursion tours to Rajgir / Nalanda / Sapta Pari Cave / Venevamas, as per your choice. All of them are renowned Buddhist pilgrimage sites. On day 09, Pilgrimage Tour of India continues to Bodhgaya. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and spend the night there.
Day 10: Bodhgaya - Vaishali - Kushinagar
Today morning, we take you to Vaishali, another famous destination in pilgrimage tours of India, where Buddha's last sermon and forthcoming Nirvana were announced. Here you can also visit the Ashok Pillar, Lotus Tank and Chaumukhi. Return to the hotel and relax for a while. Later, leave for Kushinagar and stay for the night here.
Day 11: Kushinagar - Lumbini
Leave for a post breakfast tour of Mahanirvana Temple and Modern Japan / Sri Lanka Buddhist Center. Also visit several other monasteries in the region and then return to the hotel. Relax for a while, check out and transfer to Lumbini. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 12: Lumbini - Kapilvastu - Sravasti - Balrampur
After breakfast at hotel, sightseeing tour of Ashoka's Pillar and Mayadevi Temple. Also visit the ruined ancient monastery and stupas at Lumbini. After lunch, the tour continues to Kapilvastu. Stop midway at Sravasti, the ancient city that today lies in ruins. Visit the Jetavana Monastery here. Continue drive to Balrampur and check in to hotel on arrival for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Balrampur - Lucknow
Leave for a post breakfast tour of Balrampur, a must visit in tours to Buddhist pilgrimage sites. Return to hotel and later check out to leave for Lucknow. Transfer to hotel on arrival and spend the night there.
Day 14: Lucknow - Delhi
Post breakfast city sightseeing tour covering the Imambara and Rumi Darwaza. Check out in time to proceed to the airport where you board onward flight to Delhi. Transfer to hotel upon arrival for overnight stay.
Day 15: Delhi Departure
Golden Triangle with Buddhist Pilgrimage Tours ends today. Have your breakfast at the hotel and then spend the whole day at leisure. You can also shop around for loved ones back home. Check out from hotel late evening to board scheduled flight back home or to onward destination.
